Illegal Beschäftigte bei Großrazzia auf Baustellen entdeckt Polizeibeamte kontrollieren am 9.9.1998 auf einer Baustelle in Frankfurt am Main einen Bauarbeiter. Etwa 240 Mitarbeiter des Arbeitsamtes, des Hauptzollamtes und der Polizei haben auf zwei Baustellen in der Frankfurter Innenstadt eine Großrazzia gestartet. Bauleitung und Bauarbeiter werden unter anderem auf Schwarzarbeit, illegale Beschäftigung von Ausländern und Einhaltung von Mindestlöhnen überprüft. Einige Ausländer hätten keinen Paß bei sich gehabt, bei anderen seien die Ausweise vermutlich gefälscht gewesen, so die Referentin zur Bekämpfung illegaler Beschäftigung beim Landesarbeitsamt in Frankfurt, Andrea Herrmann. An dem Einsatz sind auch die Landesarbeitsämter in Bayern, Rheinland-Pfalz und Saarland beteiligt.
