据中国物流与采购联合会、国家统计局服务业调查中心周六(9月1日)发布的最新数据，中国制造业采购经理指数(PMI)在八月跌至49.2%，创下九个月以来的新低，说明中国制造业正在萎缩。根据中国物流与采购联合会称，化学和金属材料的下跌最为明显。采购经理指数50点是经济荣枯的分水岭，低于50%反映出制造业的经济萎缩。
