圍繞英國街頭小報《世界新聞》竊聽醜聞,前卡梅倫首相發言人庫爾森(Andy Coulson)周二(7月24日)受到正式指控。倫敦檢察署通報說,與竊聽醜聞有關,受到指控的共有8人。在庫爾森任主編期間,目前已停刊的《世界新聞》的記者曾監聽過眾多社會名流和政界人士的電話,並曾對警察行賄。受到指控的8人中包括傳媒業巨頭默多克的長年親信布魯克斯(Rebekah Brooks)及其丈夫,以及卡梅倫的一名中學同學。布魯克斯和庫爾森分別從2000至2003年和2003年至2007年擔任《世界新聞》主編。去年1月,因涉嫌捲入竊聽醜聞,庫爾森辭去卡梅倫首相發言人一職。
