"Krakauer Challenge". Niezwykłe polsko-niemieckie zawody
To były zawody, ale atmosfera przypominała piknik: W Kolonii odbyły się pierwsze polsko-niemieckie zawody w grillowaniu.
Piknik
Pogoda była wręcz idealna na grilla, piwo się lało, a w tle leciało niemieckie i polskie disco polo. Polacy rzucili Niemcom wyzwanie: kto będzie mógł nazywać się mistrzem grilla? Mimo zaciętej walki o tytuł, wydarzenie przypominało piknik. Przychodziły rodziny z dziećmi, paczki znajomych i starsze osoby.
Dwie drużyny
Do pojedynku stanęły dwie drużyny – Team Krakauer (drużyna kiełbasy krakowskiej), którą reprezentował Michel Golosch, Christian Odziemek i Peter Radetzki oraz Team Woosch (niemiecka kiełbasa Bratwurst) reprezentowana przez Klausa Wydrę, Saschę Welscha i Simona Hörnemanna. Zwycięzcy mogą liczyć na zorganizowanie dla nich festynu przez firmę Tyskie.
Jury
Rywalizacja była podzielona na trzy specjalności – klasyczną, curry i freestyle. W ostatniej kategorii obydwie grupy miały wykazać się oryginalnością. Kiełbasę oceniało jury – autorzy książki „Currywurst-Kompass Köln“
Głosowanie
Decydujący głos należał do publiczności. Ponad 100 osób przyjechało ze wszystkich zakątków świata. Spora część z nich brała udział w losowaniu wejściówek na Facebooku. Każdy dostał kartkę do głosowania. Czerwona symbolizowała drużynę „Woosch”, a biała drużynę „Krakowskiej”.
Zwycięzca
Polski zespół (na zdjęciu) był pewny zwycięstwa "ponieważ nasza kiełbasa jest najlepsza”. Niemiecka drużyna twierdziła, że Polacy wygrają, bo jest ich więcej. Jednak postarają się zadowolić nawet najbardziej wybredne podniebienie. Uczestnicy byli jednomyślni – prawdziwym zwycięzcą było ... polskie piwo.
Kiełbasomierz
Jako pierwsze poddano ocenie klasycznie przyrządzone kiełbasy. Pojawiły się głosy, że niemiecka kiełbasa nie była dość przyprawiona, a krakowska była zbyt tłusta. Pierwszą rundę wygrali Polacy, zdobywając pierwszą kiełbaskę na „Wurst-O-Meter” czyli "kiełbasomierzu".
À la Curry
W drugiej rundzie potrawa miała być przygotowana à la curry. Polacy wzbogacili potrawę dodatkowo o buraczki, a Niemcy postawili na klasykę. Starania polskiej drużyny zostały wprawdzie docenione, mimo to przegrała ona dwoma głosami publiczności. Także jury twierdziło, że krakowska jest „zbyt ciężka, by zestawić ją z curry”.
Finał
W finałowej rozgrywce liczyła się spontaniczność. Obie drużyny nie zdradziły do końca, czym zaskoczą gości. Polacy postawili na krakowską à la Toscana – kiełbasa była przyrządzona w formie szaszłyka z papryką, cukinią i cebulą. Niemcy z kolei przygotowali "Bratwurst" z ostrym farszem pomidorowym i pieprzem Cayenne owiniętą w boczek.
Wspaniałomyślni zwycięzcy
Ostatnią rundę wygrali Niemcy, jednak obiecali, że wygraną podzielą się również z polską drużyną. Smacznego!
