WorldLink: An anthropological look at Christmas markets

Christmas markets make downtown smell like cinnamon and cloves. And its popularity attracts so many people that even a quiet city like Bonn has something on par with a real night life for one solid month of the year. At least until 10 p.m. DW met up with cultural anthropologist Dagmar Hänel to get some answers why Christmas markets got so popular.
