Living in a Kibbutz is becoming popular again with some young Israelis. Some 40 new members have joined the Kibbutz of Gal'ed in northern Israel in the past few years. The Kibbutz adheres to strictly communal rules - some even say it follows a socialist system. They also run a company. Every member gets the equivalent of 500 euros per month as pocket money, food and living costs are free.
