Japan's single women struggle in male-dominated workforce

Japan set a new record last year: women now comprise 30 million out of its 76 million plus workforce. But equality in the workforce is still a long way off. Only half the women have full-time, secure jobs. The others work part-time, with insecure working conditions. It's an especially dire situation for single mothers. And the coronavirus pandemic has only exacerbated these inequalities.
