How Nigerian deaf pregnant women are left behind

Accessing maternal health services has been a challenge for women with hearing impairments in Nigeria, and with the pandemic stretching the country's medical industry, the plight of pregnant women who can't hear has worsened. One deaf woman who almost lost her pregnancy runs an NGO in Nigeria’s capital Abuja which deploys interpreters to hospitals to assist deaf women communicate better.
