In India, for decades Nestle India's Maggi noodles have offered millions of Indians a quick bite - and what they thought was a dependable alternative to a full meal. But after tests found unusually high levels of lead, the country’s favorite snack was recalled and subsequently banned. The controversy has brought into question the safety standards of packaged and processed foods in general.
