Mumbai in India hosts the world’s largest diamond bourse, and a large part of the world’s rough diamonds are going through Indian workshops for cutting and polishing. To meet labour rules, and prevent fraud or so called blood diamonds from entering the market, steps are being taken to formalize the industry. But that's a huge task in this multi-faceted sector, as Aletta Andre reports.
