A decade on from the 9/11 attacks on the US and the threat of terrorism has come to play a role in the lives of people around the world. Security has been stepped up in many western countries and the US has gone to war in Afghanistan and Iraq where just over a hundred thousand civilians have been killed in the conflict. Ten years on, the world is still on terror alert.
