Why electric planes may never go big

Electric planes are silent, cheap to operate and would be a great solution to a lot of aviation’s problems including air and noise pollution. And they seem to be at the cusp of going commercial. I flew in the first e-plane certified to take off and went on a journey to figure out whether we will all soon be flying electric.
