Like far-right leader Marine Le Pen, Eric Zemmour’s theme is immigration and, in particular, Islam, which he sees as an existential threat to the fabric of French society and culture. Zemmour’s anti-Muslim rhetoric is, however, able to reach new segments of French society, and his background as a journalist and TV pundit gives him a ready-made platform and following.
