It’s the "soccer moms", or the "security moms" - pollsters have come up with a great variety of names for a voting bloc difficult to grasp: women. They make up 51 percent of the population and are a group the presidential candidates in the US spend a lot of time and money appealing to. Especially now, during the last couple of day before voting day, George W. Bush for the Republicans and John Kerry for the Democrats have been trying to reach out to women. Bush by portraying himself as the candidate who will bring security to American families, Kerry by telling women he would make the American dream come true for them.
