Vietnamese communities in New Orleans turn to aquaponics

Sullivan, ZoeApril 4, 2013

On April 20th, 2010, there was an explosion and a fire on an oil rig belonging to BP in the Gulf of Mexico. 11 rig workers were killed and 4 million barrels of oil leaked into the water. The spill shutdown the richest fishing grounds in the US. Instead of waiting for the fish stocks to rebound, fishermen are looking to ways to make themselves less dependent on waters they can't control.
