Every year hundreds of young people from all over the world apply for internships with the UN to get a foot in the door. Many of them go to Geneva, Switzerland ‒ one of the most expensive places in the world. And while UN staff members receive good salaries, most interns are unpaid. But the interns have had enough of being exploited and are hitting the streets to demand better wages.
