TT: Some of the more pressing questions - and some answers perhaps - surrounding the latest banking crisis - je 09.04.2008, 10h

Torsten JostApril 9, 2008

As in similar past crises - for example the savings and loan collapse in the U-S in the 1980's and 90's - it's the tax payers who are left spending their money to bail out the bankers. In Germany today - bank losses are also hitting the tax payer. +++LM+++ The bail out for the IKB bank 7 Billion euros. The Westdeutschen Landesbank 3-point8 Billion. Landesbank Sachsen 2-point-8 Billion. Bayrischelandesbank 2-ponit-4 Billion. For a total of 15-point-8 Billion Euros +++LM+++ Once again - it's you and me left paying for errors that empty our pockets while filling the wallets of bankers. Will there be any consequnces this time around ? Here's some of the more pressing questions - and some answers perhaps - surrounding the latest banking crisis. +++SYN-MAZ+++
