TT: CeBIT 2008: French and German use same technology in a different way - je 04.03.2008 10

Welcome back. As we've been reporting, the CeBit tech fair is underway in Hanover and this year's focus is on GREEN technology, meaning electronic components that use energy more efficiently. Many of the exhibitors are showing off developments such as servers that use less electricity, or data centers that don't cause carbon dioxide emissions. In going green, CeBIT organisers have teamed up with a group comprising leading tech giants like Intel, Google and Microsoft to find ways to lessen the industry's carbon footprint.
