Tight security as an international conference on the future of Afghanistan opens in Kabul

Afghan president Hamid Karzai says his country will take responsibility for security by 2014. In his opening remarks to an international conference in Kabul, he also asked for more control of the billions of euros already earmarked for development. Security is tight as dozens of foreign ministers and representatives from more than 50 countries are attending the meeting.
