This year's Nobel peace prize has been awarded to former U.S. Vice President Al Gore and the U.N.'s inter-governmental panel on climate change. From Oslo, the Norwegian Nobel committee said that Gore and the IPCC had won for their efforts in raising awareness around the world to global warming.
