The people of Poland cope as the floodwaters recede

People in the eastern german state of brandenburg are stepping up precautions against flooding. Authorities are preparing to declare a red alert over the next 24 hours after water levels along the Oder and Neiße Rivers rose faster than expected overnight. +++LM-REIN+++ In the border town of Slubice in Poland, across the river from Frankfurt-on-Oder, the mayor has asked all residents to leave by Friday. Farther East, the situation along the Vistula appears to be improving. +++LMRAUS+++ The crest of the floodwave has now reached the Baltic Sea. But the crisis is not over yet
