The government in Berlin is predicting the economy will shrink this year by six percent

Another quarter of historically bad economic performance in the US. The Commerce Department today announced GDP shrank by six-point-one percent in the first quarter as business investments dropped at a record rate. Here in Germany, it is the future that looks just as bad. The government here in Berlin is predicting the economy will shrink this year by six percent. Here's our report.
