Americans across the United States are grappling with unprecedented extreme weather events. And if you travel across the country, you'll meet all manner of people, from winemakers to aviation experts, who are rolling up their sleeves and getting to work to find sustainable solutions.

Americans across the United States are grappling with unprecedented extreme weather events. As of December 2023, NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, reported that 25 climate disasters had already cost the country upwards of an an eye popping $1 billion each. So, aside from $6 billion in investments the Biden administration announced in November, what else is being done about it?  

As it turns out, quite a bit. Reporter Claudia Sarre traveled across the US to talk to wine growers, aviation experts and more to hear how everyday Americans are tackling the climate crisis.
