We look at the work of German horticulturalist Hans Jürgen Höpken who specializes in growing big bonsais. Bonsais are trees or plants that are carefully groomed to grow into the shape you want. Höpken grows his bonsais up to five-meters high and he's been doing it since 1966. He grows his trees on 7-hectares of land and sells them for about 15,000 euros each. The trees are 15 - 45 years old.
