Should countries ban public viewing of the deceased?

Following the death of Kenya's former president Mwai Kibaki, controversy erupted on social media about whether the government should ban the public viewing of the dead. This is after the late president’s body was laid in state for three days for public viewing. It's a common practice in many countries where citizens are allowed to view the body of an official after his or her death. #77Percent
