A suspected boss of the Italian Mafia has been arrested in northern Germany, according to police officials. The 58-year-old man, who has not been identified, was detained in a restaurant at Bad Bentheim near the Dutch border by special forces after receiving information from Italian police. The man, a suspected leader of the "United Sacred Crown" group within the Mafia, is accused of illegal possession of weapons, ordering an attack using explosives and drugs trafficking, police said. A listening device helped police make the arrest on Dec. 25. He had already been arrested once in the early 1990s in Munich.
