Workers at Da-cha, the Romanian unit of French carmaker Renault, have gone on strike to demand higher pay and better conditions. The union is demanding salaries be doubled for the lowest-paid workers, who currently earn around 160-euros a month. It's also asking for better bonuses, and discounts on cars. According to the union, 80 percent of the workforce is taking part in the walkout.
