Street Debate: FGM in Kenya

Despite being banned in 2011, the brutal practice of female genital mutilation (FGM) is still all-too common in rural Kenya. The excruciating procedure is extremely distressing for young women – and many who undergo 'the cut' face stigma when they move to bigger cities. Edith Kimani speaks with young women who were forced to undergo FGM, as well as traditional Maasai who defend the practice.
