Since Poland is part of the EU German-Polish tourism is increasing annually

Janine RabeSeptember 1, 2009

European leaders including German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin are gathering on Poland's Baltic coast to mark the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of World War Two. Germany invaded Poland on September 1st, 1939 marking the beginning of a conflict that would claim tens of millions of lives. Relations between the two countries have been steadily improving since the end of the Cold War, with cross border travel showing large annual increases. German-Polish history is also getting more attention - and not only from academics.
