Rural Family life in China in flux

China is the world’s most populated country, but it’s also short on natural resources. One of the most worrying is water. China doesn’t have enough. Desertification-- where fertile land becomes desert— is forcing thousands, perhaps millions of farmers to relocate. That often means leaving behind ancient homes, and ancient ways. Ruth Morris reports rom the northwestern Gansu province.
