Romania's farms under threat

Romania is a country of small-scale farmers. Their soft, respectful way of farming has helped maintain a diverse natural environment unparalleled in the EU. About 30 percent of Romania's 19 million-population lives off subsistence and semi-subsistence farms. But their way of life is under threat. And many Romanians feel these small-scale farmers have now been left in the lurch.
