Romanian villagers brave drought

Romania is a land with many smallholder farmers – they have been credited with keeping the culture alive and, because of their soft, respectful way of farming, they have helped keep the environment diverse to an extent unparalleled in the rest of the European Union. But this way of life is under threat. Many Romanians feel the small-scale farmers have now been left in the lurch.
