Potsdam - Einstein Tower, an avant-garde building

July 14, 2012

The Einstein Tower was built in around 1920 by the architect Erich Mendelsohn and stands on Potsdam’s Telegrafenberg, Telegraph Hill. It’s one of the most distinctive buildings in the science park there. Named after the author of the theory of relativity, the solar observatory still plays an important role in preparing new experiments and testing equipment to be used in modern solar telescopes.
