Germany’s governing coalition is planning to invest billions to tackle the nursing crisis, boosting the workforce and hiking wages. The initiative will go into effect at the start of 2019, with the creation of some 13,000 new jobs. Care worker Rosa Lopez welcomes the move, but she’s skeptical that the positions can be filled. For now she’s under constant pressure, torn between a desire to help her patients as best she can and the need to move onto the next as fast as possible.
