Opposing logging turns deadly in Cambodia

JamesMay 24, 2012

Cambodians have been shocked in recent weeks by the killing of people protesting the destruction of the country's forests. Earlier this month a 14-year-old girl was shot dead as villagers demonstrated a notice to abandon their land. Her death followed the killing of one of Cambodia's most prominent activists in April, Chut Wutty, who was shot by a military policeman in mysterious circumstances.
