Wolves in France

In France last year around 6000 sheep were killed by wolves. The French Wolf population is spreading across the country and farmers unions are calling on the government to lift their protected species status. Ecologists rejoiced when the animal returned to France a decade ago but now farmers fear the predator is out of control. John Laurenson reports from the French Alps.
