Nearly all the major US polling organizations tipped Democratic candidate Barack Obama as the favorite to win the White House. Now, voters are putting those predictions to the test. As they went to cast their ballots, the 47-year-old first-term senator from Illinois appeared confident while telling his supporters to get out the vote. Obama's slogan has been "It's time for change", and he campaigned right down to the wire to ensure that comes to pass after the votes are counted.
