Nigerian farmers battle pesticide-resistant moth

Since 2016, tomato farmers in northern Nigeria have struggled to contain the Tuta absoluta moth infestation. The crop-loving moth — also known as the tomato pinworm — has become resistant to pesticides over time, and is forcing some farmers to abandon their livelihood.
