Earth Overshoot Day marks the date when we have used up more ecological resources than the planet can renew in a whole year. According to think tank Global Footprint Network, this year humanity will reach that point on August 8. Living Planet asks the Network's CEO, Mathis Wackernagel, how they worked it out.
