When Hurricane Katrina hit the United States, New Orleans in Louisiana saw some of the worst damage. About 80 percent of the city was flooded and the water took weeks to recede. Katrina's aftermath was a picture of dysfunction and disaster. Now, more than a decade on, New Orleans has become a symbol of resilience in the face of climate change.
