Ukraine look to get their misfiring World Cup campaign back on track after the 4-0 humiliation at the feet of Spain. They take on Saudi Arabia who drew 2-2 with Tunisia. Stay tuned with DW-WORLD.DE's World Cup Live Ticker for all the action as it unfolds.

The teams are out in the stadium
Both teams are out on the pitch at the FIFA World Cup Stadium Hamburg, ready to start this Group H clash. Ukraine need a convincing victory to get their World Cup moving with time running out. Currently bottom of the group after the 4-0 thrashing by Spain, Shevchenko and Co. will have to get into gear if they want to qualify.

Kick-off: Saudi Arabia gets the game underway
Saudi Arabia kick-off and start this Group G game in Hamburg. The Sons of the Desert are looking to build on the 2-2 draw with Tunisia and surprise the Europeans while increasing their own chances of progressing to the last 16.

Ukraine have definately set their stall out with Shevchenko, Voronin and Rebrov all starting in offensive positions.

Goalkeeper Zaid fumbles an easy ball and gives the Ukrainians a corner.

Rusol puts Ukraine in the lead
Andriy Rusol gets on the end of the corner and knees it past a despairing Zaid.

Saudi Arabia hit back immediately and put Ukraine under pressure as they search for parity.

Zaid deals with a long shot by punching it straight to Voronin on the edge of the area. Lucky for the Saudi keeper the ball just flies over the bar when the midfielder returns the shot.

Sulimani is robbed by Rebrov on the right and his cross is just to near too Zaid and Shevchenko can't get his head to it.

Oleg Gusev picks the ball up from Voronin on the left, rides one tackle and accelerates into the box. The defender knocks it out for a corner.

Shevchenko's shot cleared off the line
Andriy Shevchenko heads the corner at goal and Tukar clears it off the line. Gusev hits the rebound over the bar from a couple of meters out.

Shevchenko is almost in on goal as Kalinichenko slips in a pass behind the defense for the striker to chase. The ball picks up speed, however and Zaid gathers.

While Ukraine are enjoying most of the attacking play, Saudi Arabia are still trying to get over the top of their defense when they break up the attacks. It worked well against Tunisia.

The Ukrainians look like a completely different team to that which submissively rolled over for Spain five days ago. There is a bite and desire about their play.

Nesmachnyi booked for Ukraine
To emphasise that last point, Nesmachnyi thunders through Mohammed Noor to get the first card.

Rusol nearly scores at the other end as he almost diverts a shot past his own keeper Shovkovski. Al-Montashari connects well with the following corner but his volley flies wide.

Voronin continues his current wasteful streak with a shot that flies well wide after a fast, one-touch move carved open the Saudi defense. A couple of slack passes and a mouthful from Shevchenko has rattled the Bayer Leverkusen man.

The Saudis have pushed the majority of the Ukrainian team back into their own half as they mount a period of sustained pressure.

Another unprecise pass allows a Ukraine attack to peter out and the Saudis attack again.

Rebrov scores a 40 meter scorcher
There seemed absolutely no danger when Sergei Rebrov picked up a pass just inside the Saudi half. Two touches and a huge shot later and Ukraine are two goals to the good.

Whatever first-half assault the Saudis were hoping to mount on the Ukraine goal seems to have withered in the seconds it took for Rebrov to double the lead.

Dokhi gets a yellow card for clattering Nesmachnyi
The Saudi defender becomes his team's first entry in referee Graham Poll's book.

Rebrov is looking very lively. He pops up on the left wing, plays a one-two pass with Gusev and whips a wicked effort just wide of the post with Zaid beaten.

Voronin misses again! The ball rebounds out from a crowded penalty area into the path of the midfielder and his shot is embarassingly wide from 15 meters out.

Kalinichenko swings in a deep cross from the left wing and Andriy Shevchenko outjumps everyone to plant a solid header past Zaid with fans still returning to their seats.

The Ukrainians are looking to run riot in Hamburg and the confidence which was so rapidly drained from the team by Spain looks to be here in spades, as they send in wave after wave of attacks.

It's shooting practice out there! Gusev, Shevchenko, Rebrov...they all send in strikes at goal which ping off defenders and skew off desperate clearances as the Saudis try and hang on.

The Ukrainians shouldn't relax too much. The Saudis are still chasing the game and al-Qahtani almost sneaked in to put the ball past a sleeping Shovkovski in the Ukraine goal.

Voronin sprays a good pass out into the path of the on-rushing Kalinichenko and without breaking stride the midfielder cracks a 25 meter shot at goal which just clips the bar on its way over.

Shevchenko gets a good shot on goal but Zaid smothers it as the ball squirms from under him.

Oleg Blokhin brings on a more defensive midfielder to shore things up in the last 12 minutes of the his game which is all but won.

Ukraine are pushing a line of midfielders across the center of the park, forming a barrier through which the Saudi are having great difficulty breaching as the ganme enters the last ten minutes.

Shevchenko breaks from his own half, outstrips the pursuing defenders and rolls a delightfully weighted ball into the path of Kalinichenko who only needs to convert past the exposed Zaid. 4-0!

The young striker from Kiev replaces the city's most famous modern son as goal scorer and provider Andriy Shevchenko comes off to a standing ovation.

There was more than a little intent in that challenge. Sviderskyi went straight through his man and was lucky not to see red.

Kalinichenko could have made it five there. He found his own space on the edge of the box, side-stepped a tackle and floated a shot just over the bar.

Full-time: Ukraine comprehensively win
It could have been a rugby score. Ukraine should have been in double figures by the end. Four goals is more than enough and Saudi Arabia can look forward to the summer off while Ukraine look to postpone their holidays for a little longer.
