Life-threatening: Abdominal aortic aneurysm

May 15, 2014

An aneurysm is a ballooning of the wall of a blood vessel, generally an artery. The condition often has no symptoms, but there is a possibility that it will burst, causing massive internal bleeding. Those most at risk are men over 65 with high blood pressure. An aneurysm can be treated surgically with a graft support or a stent.
