The future of the European carmaker Opel is more uncertain than ever at this hour. Opel is owned by General Motors. And GM's creditors have rejected a compromise that could've helped prevent bankruptcy at America's biggest producer of automobiles. +++ Brent: And the German government is saying it is not yet backing any of the suitors who would like to take Opel off GM's hands. A decision that was expected today - has now been put off - apparently until the fate of General Motors is clearer.
