The European Union's foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton has demanded a full inquiry into the killing of at least 10 people when Israeli commandos stormed a flotilla of aid ships in the Mediterranean Sea early Monday. Hundreds of activists were onboard the ships which were bringing ten thousand tons of aid to Gaza. The Israeli military says the activists were killed after they offered armed resistance. It is unclear whether the flotilla was in international waters when it was attacked.
