Investigations are continuing into the plane crash in Russia which killed the Polish president and other national leaders

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has promised a swift probe into what caused the plane crash that killed Polish President Lech Kaczynski early on Saturday. Putin was speaking at the crash site in the Russian city of Smolensk. 96 others were killed, including the president's wife, senior Polish government officials, and military leaders. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has also visited the site of the disaster. The presidential jet came down as it was coming in to land near Smolensk, which is located in western Russia. The delegation had been travelling to the region to attend a memorial ceremony.
