On Wednesday, NATO invited the small Balkan nation of Montenegro to join the alliance. But Montenegro has been making headlines in recent weeks because of anti-government protests which have often turned violent. The opposition says the government is riddled with corruption and wants free elections. The government says the protests are undermining its efforts to move closer to the west.
