In Turkey, unrest and trouble appears to be fermenting. Following the failed coup attempt in July, the government has invoked an emergency power law, under which judges, lawyers, teachers and journalists have been taken into custody. Now it has extended to the pro-Kurdish movement and it is fanning inter-ethnic tensions to a dangerous level.
