Inside Europe: Adios to the Siesta?

The siesta is an intrinsic part of life in Spain -that extended break in the middle of the day when Spaniards close up shop for 2 or even 3 hours and then head back to work until 8 o'clock in the evening. There's now talk, again, of doing away with the practice. Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy is pushing for a working day that ends at 6pm. Correspondent Guy Hedgecoe explains the reasoning.
