Inside Europe: A Czech culinary Christmas tradition

For most people who celebrate Christmas the traditional dish is of course roast turkey. But the Czech Christmas dish is carp – the large, scaly fish that spends its time skulking around the bottom of ponds. The carp is normally filleted and deep fried, and accompanied by potato salad, but as Rob Cameron explains, not everyone is a fan of the fish or the dish, for various reasons.
