Increasing number of women files for divorce in Pakistan

In Pakistan, divorce is a taboo subject, particularly in the most conservative rural regions bordering Afghanistan. Despite this, the number of divorce cases is on the rise. But when women ask for a divorce, they often face threats of violence - many women have been killed for wanting to leave their husbands. However, things are slowly changing. For DW, Mudassar Shah reports from Peshawar.
